Services
A full list of what comes through the shop. Most jobs fall into one of the categories below. If your project doesn't quite fit, send photos anyway. We've done some unusual work over the years.
Convertible top replacement
Replacement of the soft top on most domestic, European, and Japanese convertibles. The work typically includes:
- Inspecting the top frame for damage or worn cables
- Replacing the top fabric or vinyl in your choice of colour and material
- New tack strips and pads where the existing ones are worn
- Replacing the rear plastic or glass window where needed
- Adjusting top tension and fitment so the new top closes properly
Materials we work with regularly: Stayfast, Twillfast, vinyl, Pinpoint, and various OEM-pattern fabrics. We can match an original spec or do something custom, for restorations, we'll source period-correct material where it's still made.
Custom interiors
Full or partial interior re-trim for cars where the existing interior is past saving (or the customer wants a different look).
Seats
Front and rear seat re-covers in leather, vinyl, or cloth. We can match original stitch patterns or do a custom design — diamond pleat, French stitch, baseball, hash pattern, ostrich-pattern overlays. Foam is replaced as needed; we don't reuse foam that's compressed past its useful life.
Door panels
Custom or replacement door panels in matching material. Most jobs include the panel itself plus any associated trim — arm rests, map pockets, speaker grilles, switch surrounds.
Headliners
Headliner replacement is one of the most common single jobs we do. We replace the foam backing, the fabric itself, and re-install. The headliner sets the tone of the cabin more than people realise; a fresh one is often the cheapest single change you can make for the biggest visual impact.
Trunk and cargo
Carpet replacement, trunk liner work, and custom panelling for hatch areas and cargo spaces. Sound-deadening can be installed at the same time if requested.
Classic-car restoration
Full interior restoration for classics, with attention to period-correct materials and stitch patterns. We've done complete jobs on:
- 1960s and 1970s Detroit muscle (Mustang, Camaro, Charger, GTO)
- British classics (MG, Triumph, Jaguar, Mini)
- German classics (Porsche 911, Mercedes SL, BMW 2002)
- Italian classics (Alfa, Fiat 124, Lancia)
- Pre-war American — much rarer, but the work that comes in tends to be carefully kept
Restoration work usually takes longer than re-trims (six to twelve weeks for a full interior) because of material sourcing and the fitting required. We're happy to work alongside an external restoration shop on a longer project.
Marine and powersport upholstery
Vero Beach being a coastal town, we get a steady stream of boat and powersport work — seat re-covers, helm cushions, bimini tops, snap-on covers, jet ski seats. We use marine-grade vinyl and UV-rated thread for anything that will live in the sun.
Repairs and small jobs
We do small repairs too — torn seat panels, worn arm rests, cracked dashboards, separated stitching. If you're not sure whether a small repair is worth doing on your car, send a photo and we'll be honest about whether it's a repair-it job or a re-cover job.
What we don't do
We don't do mechanical work on the car — engine, transmission, electrical, suspension. We don't do bodywork or paint. We don't do tinting. If you need any of those, we have a few shops in the area we'd happily recommend.
Quoting and scheduling
Most quotes are best done after seeing the car. We give ballparks over email or phone, but the final number depends on what's underneath the existing upholstery (foam condition, frame condition, hidden damage). Drop us a line at [email protected] to start. Scheduling is typically two to four weeks out for most jobs; classic restorations can be longer.
